As a painter I was orginally influenced by the Hudson River School. How they made their Majestic landscapes almost Biblical. Later I was impressed with atmospheric and tonal effects. Where the color is almost secoundary to the values of lighting. I now try to incorprate at times a real or tonal abstract technique depending on the painting. Never forgetting my roots are in detail. Oil is my first choice of medium, but I will do a occasional acrylic,pencil or ink.
